My recent scrapbook page!
Today was actually a really great day because we played scattergories in math instead of doing actual math, but honestly, the math we’re doing is really fun and I finally understand it (we’ll see if my statement still stands after break). In bio I actually came up with the idea to research historical figures because we watched an informational video on Anastasia Romanov and her family’s dissapearance. Somehow Mrs. Gianatassio connected it to biology but at least we got to waste a bunch of class before break! In study hall today I struggled with trying to design the blog, I was so confused on what I was doing but don’t worry I am a pro now. Lastly, in English, we talked about the research related to our books that I totally did. Mrs. Gunn actually talked to me about my recent essay and told me it was beautiful writing. She asked to show it to her husband who is an English professor in something about nature. It made my day because I am never sure whether she’ll like it or not. Overall, it was a great day and I’m so happy to be on break, I can’t wait to blog more and share details about my day!
I’m thinking of doing research on random topics that I think are interesting so I have a few ideas in mind but let me know which you think I should do; here are the few I came up with:
- Scientology
- Wars; Revolutionary, Civil, etc.
- Plants; flowers or trees and their ecosystems
- Animals; Polar bears (especially how they are being affected by climate change right now)
- Royal figures; Queen Elizabeth, royal families of various countries
- The history behind a book I have read; Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina
- Companies; The history or Coca Cola, marketing differences from 1900’s vs now
- Movie analyses; it would be interesting to learn the backstory of the film and think more about it rather than just seeing it
- Religions; Mormonism, Buddhism, Judaism, etc. (their culture and how they were created)
I think these topics would be super fun to learn about and I will probably research them all eventually. I am thinking about researching them and either writing an essay or designing a slideshow or poster. For the slideshow I think it would be fun to try a voiceover and it can be a video you have on in the background or something while doing homework, sleeping, etc. I definitely want to learn lots more because I feel that I am living under a rock right now and this can be a way for me to get off my phone and learn, read, and create more. Basically, just researching and organizing lots of information that is just fun to know, maybe you haven’t learned it in a class in depth.
I am also considering having different categories on the blog where I post my recent scrapbook pages, maybe a short movie or book review that I recommend and maybe outfits I wear? On the home page, there is a song of the day area where I can link a new song each day and please suggest any music you love because I definitely need to expand my genres. I am very excited about this new revelation and I want to do lots with this blog! If you want to comment, there should be a section under this where you can respond and I look foward to replying!!
This is insanely cool!! I think that you should do more research on either scientology, or royal figures. Once you dig deeper into who someone in history really was, the more interesting it is 🙂
